Sunbrella?

Do most people hike with a sunbrella?

I used an
umbrella to block sun many times on the AZT. While many may disregard it makes a noticeable difference in how I feel later in the day being less toasted.

Hat and sunglasses is usually enough for me. I'd be tempted to use a sunbrella from about mid-May through early October in the low desert. I've never felt the need above the Rim.

An umbrella is great! Not only does it shade your entire body, when using you can go without a hat which allows heat to escape from your head, keeping you cooler. For the deserts, you may want to try it!
