Vertical: Trail Stories (2017 Kickoff)

I am the manager at the Sierra Vista Public Library and I'm hoping to have a kickoff party here with food, music, and a few speakers right around when people start going on the trail. I need some possible dates from people as to when would be good time (weekends, what month, time).

Also, I'm looking for 4-6 speakers who have amazing trail stories (solo hikers, bikers, first timers) to be part of a quarterly series here at the library. You'd get to tell your story, share your photos, and our museum curator is willing to archive your story in our museum down here.

I couldn't pay you much (message me at mlescherrer@gmail.com if interested) but could likely swing something. Plus, a good, hot meal! Think "Wild" but in speaker form. About an hour-hour and a half length.

Thanks!

Emily

I know that Judy Hector is working on a conceptual trail event in Sierra Vista. Check in with her: Judy.Hector@sierravistaaz.gov
I know that May 27 is a planned date for a big community outdoor event in Sierra Vista, including a "peak challenge" in the Huachuca Mountains.
If there was an AZT Kickoff event, it should be in late February through mid-March, which is when most folks start their northbound journey.
Keep me posted.
Gracias!
