Humphreys via Inner Basin

I am planning on hiking Humphreys from the Inner Basin this Saturday June 25th. I don't mind hiking alone, but if anyone is interested in joining me, I'd love the company.
I'm happy to drive, and gas is free! I'm leaving my place (Ahwatukee) early, around 4:00am, but can meet anyone to carpool along the way.
***If someone wants to join in, but that early hour is a little scary, I am flexible on the time!

If only I wasn't working! Well, but 4 Am....on second thought.

@Jim_H Yeah, i just added a note that I can adjust the time to a more human hour.

Well, i still work, I think. I know you live down south, but the earliest I can realistically say I could leave is 7 AM. That does put you on the trail pretty late for most people, though. I may go up this evening and camp, to do that tomorrow, or hotel, or not at all. Who knows.
Have Fun!

@tortoise_hiker might want to go, but 4am is a couple of hours too late for him ;)

On the off chance anyone wants to place hooky tomorrow, I'm headed up to do this hike Wednesday the 22nd. Officially, it's in place of Baldy, but I sleep lousy when I camp most of the time, so I am getting a room in Flag this evening and can start a little earlier at the TH. Probably 830, being realistic. Linda, if you want to call out sick, with heat exhaustion...

@Jim_H Luckily, having my kids out on summer break gives me the perfect excuse to miss weekday hikes, lol. 8:30 would probably kill me.

Too early or too late?

@Jim_H 8:30 is kinda late for me. Although, really probably not that bad in cooler temps. I'm just naturally an early start kind of person though. If my kids weren't home, I'd be tempted to go on a weekday, but no chance of that happening until August.

@chumley
LOL Your right Chumley. 2:30AM would be a good departure time for a busy hike like that. LOL

...gas is free!
It's a trap!

@gummo No trap. I just don't have to pay for gas, so I wouldn't want anyone to think they would have to give me gas money.
The trap part might be when I say I bake chocolate chip cookies on an almost daily basis, as they are the primary component of my diet, and I would probably bring some extras along...

Is Rowdy aloud?

@Widowmaker Hmmmm, I hadn't thought about that. While I love dogs, and Rowdy is awesome, I've never had one in any of my vehicles. I'm not sure how I feel about that actually. If you and Rowdy decide to join, would separate vehicles be a problem?

@lindaagm
Not at all. I can follow you up there as long as you stay under 90 miles an hour.

But I will have to buy some gas.

If the weather co-operates, you ought to have an awesome hike. It was lovely yesterday, just lovely. Like Sebring, FL, in January.
