Good hike for tomorrow?

Hello, we are headed to Bearizona Thursday morning but want to find a great hike on the way to do tomorrow! It can be in Sedona, Oak Creek, or near Flagstaff. Pretty much anywhere in between Phoenix and Williams. I have a 16 yr old, 10 yr old and a dog who loves hikes and minds very well. The last drive and hike we did was Parson Springs Trail. Loved it! Water is nice and prefer something not too busy but can be more challenging than Parson Springs. I've been trying to get outta Phx for weeks! No more than 4 hrs for hike. Water is not necessary.

I stayed for several days in Williams, visited Dog Town Reservoir and Bill Williams Mtn. Did a night hike North of town (just out on the forest) and another SW of Town. Did not realize that Javelina were that far North. Quite busy in town during my visit and so were the restaurants. Campground just North of town which would be a good base camp and I would recommend off pavement type bicycles as several routes in the area.

If I don't have to work tomorrow (I might, coworker is sick) I was kind of planning on BW Mountain myself. Early morning. I live 5 minutes from the trailhead.

Thank you. I'm not sure when we will head that way so I can't make any promises. Probably be early afternoon around noonish. Thanks for recommendation.

Well, I won't know for a while. I have a new kayak I just got yesterday (Yay me!). I may take it to Dogtown Lake first, before the wind comes up, and then hike BW after. But I still don't know if I have to work--may not know until 7 a.m. or so. Will watch for you if I do the hike, though. I'm a typical middle-aged woman hiker with a dorky floppy hat and weird shoes.
