Greetings fellow hikers! I am looking for a hiking buddy to section hike the AZT. I want to make a concerted effort to get this trail done over the next year. I'm a nurse. I will be starting a new job in Scottsdale at the end of September that will allow me to have free weekends and holidays. If you are interested, please reply. Happy trails!
Michelle

Hi There! We share the same goal (section hiking the AZT in a year). I have recently started and only completed 6 sections so far. I would be more than happy to hike with you. I also have weekends and holidays off, which are the only times I can go.
Let's definitely discuss some options. I live in Tucson.

Hey! I have only completed 1 section so far. My current job is in Tucson at Carondelet St Joe's. I wish I could hike a couple of sections this weekend, but I'm on call and have to be within 30 minutes of the hospital from 11pm to 7am. I did passage 1 back in April.

Depends on where you are. I live in Deer Valley and I am off pretty much every day.

I just hiked #10 today and most water sources were BONE DRY. The "lake" had water but it's beyond mucky with tons of moss and algae covering it. So for now, Plan to carry extra water.

Hey mouse-
I'm looking for a Hiking buddy too. I'm in east Mesa and also a nurse. I work three 12's though but I'm sure our schedules would match up here and there.

Oh Hey! That would be great! I am working at a surgery center and will seem to be having a bunch of 3 day weekends over the next couple of months. Let's try to get together for coffee maybe? I live in Scottsdale.
