I am planning a 4-5 Day backpack trip in the eagle cap wilderness/ wallowas. Any intel or routes would be helpful. Solitude, experienced, 2 females, 2 dogs

@maryl

Eagle Cap is a great place to visit. It's a long hike in from any of the trailheads. I entered on the Hurricane Creek Trail and basecamped a bit back from the Lakes Basin and dayhiked all over the place for a few days before heading back. I'd do the same again should the chance arise.

Better wait until it stops raining! (I'm not just kidding around here. I actually just recently moved to Oregon, near Corvallis. This is the rainiest year in decades, and even the locals are complaining about it! It just won't quit!)

Yea... I feel the rain. Just got back from Oregon. I get up there any chance I get. Thanks for the intel. I have a route mapped entering in from Joseph but am always open to tips.
