Lampornis clemenciae

Habitat:Breeds in Southeastern AZ and Southwestern NM and Southern Texas. Winters in Mexico. Streamside Growth in Canyons.

Description:A very large Hummingbird. Male is Green above, Gray below and has a bright Blue Gorget. Blue/Black Tail with broad White corners. Female Green above and Gray below. Both sexes have thin White stripes above and below Eyes.

Comments: Blue-throated Hummingbirds are rapid fliers, and their wings make an audible humming sound.
