Thamnophis sirtalis infernalis

Habitat:Found solely in California in the coastal regions from San Francisco down to San Diego County. Resides in a wide variety of habitat from Pine Forests to Farmlands, especially where Water is present.

Description:Base Coloring is Olive to Black with Blue to Cream Dorsal Stripe. Somewhat faint stripes along the lower sides with Red Bars alternating with the Base Coloring between the Dorsal and Lower Stripes. Underside is Blue to Cream. Red or Orange Head with very large Eyes.

Comments:Active during the Day and a good Swimmer.
