Mustela frenata

Habitat:Inhabits much of the U.S. except for Southern California, Southern Nevada, Parts of Utah and Parts of Arizona. Prefers areas near Water, but is ecologically diverse in living in Forested areas, Open areas and Farmlands.

Description:Brown above and White to Deep Yellow Below. White on lower Face. Tail Brown with Black Tip. All White during the Winter in northern States, with just the Black Tip of Tail for Color. Long Bodied with short Legs.

Comments: Most Widespread Carnivore in the Western Hemisphere. Is out during the Day or Night with it's main prey, the Vole available during all times. Makes it's homes in Burrows of other animals.
