Egretta rufescens

Reddish Egrets are near threatened and are considered to be fun birds of Florida’s beaches and the gulf and southeast coastline. They are considered threatened in TX and are protected. They're best known for their “drunken sailor” dance, in which it fling their wings out and run haphazardly through the waves, throwing their shadow on the fish they're trying to catch. They are especially pretty in their breeding plumage!
