Bucephala albeola

Buffleheads are waterfowl that are closely related to goldeneyes. They can crossbreed with goldeneyes. Because of their striking plumage, highly active nature and their proximity to humans on waterfront properties, buffleheads are one of the most popular birds amongst bird watchers. They eat plants, insects, fish eggs, and mollusks. Like goldeneyes, they dive for food.
