Storeria dekayi Brown snakes are small and look like and will sometimes hang around red-bellied snakes. Some confuse them with gartersnakes as well. They are found under leave litter, logs, and rocks. They are found in the eastern part of the US and down into Central America and have various sub-species. It eats earthworms, slugs, snails, and most other small invertebrates.
