New shoes! They did well on their maiden mission. I don't know how well they will hold up on these desert trails though. They were on sale but still not cheap La Sportiva x Janji Jackal II Trail-Running Shoes. I have the rest of the day to decide if I want to buy another pair.

I do agree with the reviews that the shoe laces are too long so I'll need to do a double bow.
