Mature Arizona Pine with overly dense reproduction underneath between Pine and Shovel Saddle. The young will never reach the proportions of the old, without lower intensity fire as would have occurred pre-1880, or mechanical thinning. The fate of this wilderness is no different than that of Kendrick or The Kachina Peaks.
