So, I'm photographing some rapids in the narrow gorge between the upper and lower falls and I notice a marmot coming up from the bottom on what appears to be a very small marmot sized use trail coming up the cliff. Didn't pay much attention to him at that point and continued to photograph the rapids. I looked up from the camera a few minutes later and bam! There he was. For reference, my toes are just out of the bottom frame. He walked up to me like a dog would and there was no fear, lol After we looked at each other for a moment, he decided I had no food. If I was too anthropomorphize what came next, it was that he recognized that I had a camera, walked around me to a rock outcrop and struck a pose. The whole encounter was pretty funny.
