The trail splits up into two forks here. The one to the left leads to the east shore of Green Lake and to the trail to East lake. The fork on the right leads to West Lake. Both East and West Lakes are worthwhile day hikes. The trail to East Lake continues on past the Hoover Lakes and Summit Lake to connect with the trail to Virginia Pass and beyond to the Pacific Crest Trail.
