North Face stopped making the shorts that I bought over and over for the last 10 to 15 years. So I tried three different similar types of shorts by three different brands. The Baleaf shorts suited me best. I originally included them in the three brand tryouts because they were the cheapest. I wore all three brands for about a month a couple years ago. When I went to go figure out the ones I wanted to get a couple more pairs I was like, hot damn the cheap ones!
When too old to fly and too cranky to update RS in fear of cooties* posted something other than the f'n weather or a link in the HAZ trashdump, I was impressed (for a change) by some of the follow up replies. Looking over Sun hoodies, Baleaf seemed like the logical first try for myself.
* I have a semi-intriguing story for everything. If I hit big on the lottery I don't play I'm not writing a book, I'm writing the historical encyclopedia of HAZ
