These egg sacs are for the invasive Apple Snail and it is our duty to destroy as many as we can on our way downstream. Besides destroying vegetation and outcompeting native snails, they carry a parasite that is dangerous to people.
* Despite being invasive, old ladies on the internet don't think they're pretty, so there's no management group protecting it. Feel free to kill.
