Both in Polson:
Glacier Brewery (UL, LR). We enjoyed the libations.
Outside of Jalisco's is Polson Bay and "A Watershed Moment" located outside the Flathead Lakers' office. And I think, what looks like a swan on the lake is our Lochness Monster. When we were teenagers, we definitely feared this creature and were always on the look out for it. (Yes, there is a legendary creature known as the Flathead Lake Monster, nicknamed "Flessie," that is similar to the Loch Ness Monster (Nessie) and is purported to live in Flathead Lake in Montana. Sightings of this eel-like or fish-like cryptid date back to 1889, with descriptions varying from a 20–40 foot long creature with a serpentine body to a large fish. While official investigations have found no conclusive evidence of its existence, proposed explanations for sightings include large sturgeon, misidentified floating logs, or even groups of otters swimming in formation.)
The mural depicts two views of Flathead Lake, which is one of the largest and cleanest natural freshwater bodies in the populated world and is home to the Bitterroot Salish, Kootenai, and Pend d'Oreilles tribes.
