This is one of only two places that I could find to set up my tent. (Thanks to Alex, trail steward for North Peak Trail, for this hint.) The other was about 100 feet away, to the NE, grassy, but there was a fresh, large 2" diameter stool there. (Didn't have the usual berry debris of bear. But looked like a large animal.)
