RS 7.2.22 (unreleased) Test-5 performed well. Whether your buddy uses Chuck's Killer Hiking App that is selling your identity, e-mailing you up the wazzu, popping up last chance discounted offers, or the Garmin Pink Diamond 5000 w/free Holy Grail dash mount you paid $500-2000 has stats that pump your ego by all friggen means, those stats are better... use 'em!
Both Android & the iPhone ran the entire hike, almost 24 hours, without a charge. My old power bank stopped working after a half dozen years. Android was in airplane mode, except for two approximately minute-long cell signal checks. I used the iPhone for photos and route checks, out of airplane mode for about an hour in three to four attempts to get a signal, but never got a signal. Charged the watch twice from my flashlight. The 24 hours they advertise is for casual users. Apple activity stopped on my 26.5 C2P hike when I took it off to charge. Knowing I'd continue to forget to restart it, I got WorkOutDoors, which supposedly keeps it running. Either it stopped when I took it off or I unknowingly turned it off. Though I wasn't getting unexpected taps like C2P from the sweat on my sleeves since it wasn't hot.
