Many find Elden ugly, and say it isn't worth hiking. I can't imagine my time in Flag without it, and I still remember it fondly. No other hike I have ever encountered, comes close for beauty, convenience, and the athletic challenge, too. Even the "ugly" urban views that so many hate, I enjoyed.
