We found this old horse drawn slip scoop abandoned at Camp Lake. This implement originally had two long wood handles extending out the back which were used by the driver to control the angle of the scoop and to dump it as it was pulled by a horse or mule. This implement dates back to the late 1800s or early 1900s. Tom and I pondered over what it had been used for in this wilderness setting so long ago.
