Yosemite does a great job at preserving the Wilderness experience. Campsites that exist have very small fire rings, and must be well out of view of the trail. You could hike the entire 30 miles and not see a single camp site if you aren't looking for one! Building a new fire ring or establishing a new campsite is prohibited.
