The Iron Mountain Sign Pole ( http://www.roadtripamerica.com/roadside ... n-Pole.htm ) is at the intersection of CA-62 and a road with a scary "Do not enter! Armed guards!" type sign. We did not enter. Turns out it is for pump station #3, draining Colorado River water for the benefit of California's coastal cities.
