Monday morning - ready to leave for Des Moines via Nebraska. Kathleen (site manager) gave us an update on our cottage - Cottage Number 314 (built 1923) - Cottage 314 replaced an 1899 cabin and was modeled on Cottage 29, having a center core surrounded on three sides with under eave porches. It is a one-story side gabled roof square dwelling with widely overhanging, open cornice eaves. The foundation is of wood piers covered in vertical siding.
