The entire SE corner is in the redwall layer. Typically the most vertical and difficult route finding. It's really white or cream colored. Red leaches down from layers above. I think the black is weathered. Not sure on the gray, maybe where pieces have fallen off in recent eons. The texture is often described as tarter. It is similar to the rough side of velcro. Clothes stick to it and rip off. Shoes do not last long on this terrain. It tears them apart due to it's abrasive surface. jj blew threw a new pair of gloves in just a couple trips.
