This was up kind of high...In case you can't quite read it "National Historic Site This Hydro Electric Generating Plant was built in 1904 to Supply Power to the Smuggler Union Mine. Water was Sluiced from Blue Lake and an Aerial Tramway brought up Operators and Supplies. The Plant ceased Operation in 1953 and was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1979.
