Now THAT is some major overthrust action. I bot a great book on the Natural History of GNP by David Rockwell. He talks about the folds of geological action like when you hit a rug with your foot and it causes folds in the carpet. I read only a couple chapters and was fascinated by the glacial ice and geological movement that occurred here. And knew that interest would continue as I traveled the rest of this trip through this glacially active area between here and Idaho and back down into Montana around the Sandpoint area where the Pacific Ocean once was. Believe me, it's much more incredible than I realized.
