By waiting until near sunset and deploying a 3 stop neutral density filter, longer exposures of the falls became possible. Also made possible by the tiny tripod that came as part of the "value package" when I bought the camera. I was sure that the only thing I wanted in the package was the memory card and extra battery. The 3" tripod turned out to be an excellent, lightweight performer for shots like this.
