I jumped for joy. I had seen a picture of a Devil's Club bloom but had never seen one in person. There were many blooms in this area. The leaves are HUGE! to match the bloom. From pics I've seen, soon those will be all red berries and then it creates a feathery seed head. Plant is also knows as Devil's Walking Stick. Another interesting tidbit from Wiki: Devil's club is very sensitive to human impact and does not reproduce quickly.
