Poor excuse for a rock wall we passed on our way up the hillside in our attempt to reach the location of DBT Ruin #2. This does not look like the type of wall built by the ancients and we would see at least one more like this. Who would build these small somewhat useless walls in more contemporary times? Could they have been rifle emplacements used during the Apache wars to guard passage along the bottom of the East Verde River Valley? (Yes, I have an over active imagination?)
