Kelly runs point when we hike; makes my hiking much more enjoyable. LL we are walking on the bedrock in the wash, one of our favorite things. In the UR pic you can see how the wash continues and since we couldn't tell what direction it was going to, we climbed up to the right (LR pic) and decided to head for that saddle but had to negotiate a deep drainage (UL) and instead of heading to the saddle we headed to that mound above because we spotted an alcove and went into "wallymode".
