What constitutes graffiti? Age? Then does graffiti which somehow last hundreds, or thousands, of years become historic? Intent? If so, then the graffiti of ancient Pompeii and Herculaneum -- think along the lines of "Livia puts out" -- would not be the valuable historic record it is. I think that no matter, graffiti is but one manifestation of the common human need to be remembered.
