Jim is a newcomer to hiking in AZ deserts. I warned him about Teddy Bear Cholla buds laying in the trail but he still managed to kick one on to his ankle. On my first AZ desert hike I picked up one of these fuzzy green buds in my bare hands - a painful learning experience.
