After an extended photo session which attracted a small group of hikers, he finally decided to leave his hiding spot and slithered across the trail in no particular hurry. He then proceeded to poke his head into several rodent holes at the base of a rock retaining wall while completely ignoring the gathering crowd. This guy has obviously gotten use to being around people - not sure that's a good or bad thing.
