Pottery shard. The local stuff, I was told, was mostly plainware; painted pottery generally came from tribes inhabiting the area that is now Phoenix. So most of this stuff was very simple; some of it was extremely finely made, though, thin and beautifully burnished with polishing-stones until it gleamed even now.
