The pueblo ruin site Lange calls "The Women Must Have Carried the Water" from a note scrawled by local rancher and guide Dewey Peterson on the original site form from Haury's expedition in the early 1930's. The pueblo rock walls have been scattered by the construction of this old mining road through the middle of the site and by many years of cattle grazing. It was originally listed as having 8 to 10 rooms by Haury. After searching through the brush and finding remnants of walls in several places I can believe this number of rooms to be accurate. I don't know if this road that scattered many of the walls existed in the early 1930's when Haury was here.
