Hiking the Bright Angel Trail from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on March 12, 2016. Microspikes were essential. That's me on the right with the silver pad. Took my orange jacket off once we got below the rim as the canyon walls blocked the bitter cold wind. The temps got warmer with each step lower.
