One of the worst buffelgrass infestations I've seen. The foothills of Mt. Miguel off the Esperero trail. My guess is bushwhacking was common here going up or down from Miguel, but now try doing that... Saguaros and other natives one lighting strike away from death and the hillside becoming a monoculture. Pretty sad also that the trail after the cave at 4k ft was so infested it was literally not there anymore and I was just here a month ago. I was too tired to put in an effort to fix the issue after a tough week at work and just did some weed pulling near the esperero trail start on the way back.
