I had fresh corn on the cob that night with dinner so couldn't resist making this size comparison. Of course the ancient cobs probably shrunk in size with drying out over time but still they had to be much smaller than modern day corn. It appears that the individual kernals may have been as large or slightly larger on the ancient corn.
