Got mistletoe for your Christmas decorations? This is desert mistletoe, a parasitic plant, which will damage and probably eventually kill the tree. Like all mistletoe, it's spread by birds, who eat the seeds and then sit on the high branches and poop. The seeds sprout in the poop, sending their roots down into the wood of the tree.
