A grove of what I think are Alder Trees in the Usal Camp Ground. This area was the site of a saw mill and shipping docks in the early 1900s with all trees removed. Alders are typically the first trees to grow back near streams in a clear cut area based on my experience in the Oregon coastal forests. Appears to be the same here on the coast of California.
