There are two trails to the top of Mt. Timpanogos. One from just above Aspen Grove; the other from the Timpooneke trailhead. The former is supposedly a little more scenic and a bit more challenging. The sign says 6.3 miles. I had it closer to 7 or more (though I started from the Aspen Grove lodge, which is another .25 from the trailhead.
