Here's a ground level view: these are a bit hard to make out, but the line of rocks goes from bottom left to middle center, with another row moving in from the right. It's easier to see the rows stacking up like waves to the horizon –something I've seen all over the plateau.

Keep in mind too, that there have been 500 years of new rocks percolating up since these were last cleared.
