A little past this point is where the route through Merritt Draw goes to hell in a hand basket (Not sure how a hand basket goes to hell but that's what people say). About .2 miles past this point I abandon trying to follow in the creek and headed up the east side of the canyon to the logging road that follows the creek from higher up.
