A hiker rests on one of the hundreds of trees felled by beavers in this area. I have never seen so much active beaver construction! Note the heavily chewed log just behind her right hand. It is clear that the beaver at work here was able to topple these trees precisely where they wanted them to fall, since they are far too big for fifty of those little guys to drag.
