Coconino Sandstone is Paleozoic in age and is about 260 Mya. These are eolian deposits (sand dunes). Interesting how the dunes that show a hatch pattern are every so often wiped horizontally and the pattern starts again. Wonder what event occurs every so often to do this. Not sure of the time between events.
