Turtlehead Mountain Trail head. Turtle Head Mountain is the grey limestone peak in back of the red and white sandstone. Turtlehead trail will head up the canyon to the left of the peak and then ascend to the top on the back side. The 2.5 mile trail ( 5 mile round trip) will climb 2000 feet
