Warning sign for Giant Stairs section. Reasonable caution. The Giant Stairs presents a rugged, but non-technical, and largely horizontal, rock scramble. Basically, debris from cleavages from the Palisades cliffs create an expanse that extends right into the Hudson, so the trail must cross the resulting large boulders. Can be readily crossed, but for those on a pleasant stroll, and unpleasant section.
